Earlier this month I received an invitation from Insight Timer (my favorite app) to participate in their mid-year reset challenge. I eagerly took them up on it because life gets crazy and we can get caught up in the little things. Somedays we’re just trying to survive.
Theirs is a 30-day calendar with new meditations and insights to pause and reflect, recenter, and recalibrate. Around day 7 I thought ‘hmmm, this applies to business too’ and so I began writing this article.
Back in January I wrote 10 Things To Do In January to Ensure a Successful Year, using this as your starting point for those items that are appropriate for your business, how many have you started? Completed?
All done? Great…now it’s time to walk through some of these additional items you can easily audit and fix, if needed.
Review your marketing projects done to date – What’s worked? What didn’t? Are you on track to meet your goals? Does your budget need adjusting? Can you reallocate funds from an underperforming campaign to one that’s performing better?
Marketing calendar – Now’s the time to update it for the coming quarter, and even the rest of the year if you can. Before you know it, it will be Back to School season, then Black Friday, and Small Business Saturday. This article can help you with planning special #holidays that make sense for your business.
Marketing binder – Have you updated it to include new campaigns, ads, etc.? Are the samples and links included?
Summer scheduling – For the past several years, I’ve made it a point to take off on Fridays during the summer. So this morning, I updated my email signature block to reflect that. Maybe you have a retail store with special summer hours? Either way, if this is something you do (and we all need to take a break to tend to the other parts of our life), be sure you update your customers, Google business listing, etc.
Halfway through the year is a good time to step back, take stock – and celebrate! Taking this time to assess and adjust where necessary means finishing 2025 with clarity and confidence.
You can do it! Need a little help? I’m here for you. Reach out anytime.
